More Nursery

C. wants to add a little more to J.'s Nursery post. Please see picture to the left to gain an appreciation for the final product, made entirely possible through the help of M. Schmidt pictured below. M. came to visit for the first time ever (!) two weeks ago and was an invaluable motivator, hanger, painter, do anything kind-of gal. Quite the incredible blessing to have a pilot for a brother-in-law. God is so kind.

Ice Storm 2007

Today the sky dropped ice on the world. East Iowa, I mean. Strange that we lost power for only two hours. We were ready for pre-20th century life though. For those two hours, in our dark hobbit hole, C. wrote notes and J. read.

Layers of snow cover the icy scene now, pictured above. But we think upon June days. A cottage on Vancouver Island's Botanical Beach has great appeal.
