New Phone Number

J. and C. are trying to set a record. In the last twelve months, we've had three different phone services and five phone numbers. Our last phone company, SunRocket, went bankrupt. They were a little too cheap.

We now have a new home phone number. Email us if you can't get ahold of us. Trust us, we're just as annoyed as you. We long for the day when technology allows us to communicate via telepathy. Until then . . .

Strollering in Iowa City

We're out for a stroll on the path that goes by some bridges
crossing the Iowa River. Will you come along?
If you come, we promise to show you the baby every now and then to keep you interested.
(Note: The wetness is only spilled water-bottle-wetness :).)

This is the path J. rides his bike to school on.

Here's the first bridge. It's the "Agreeable Light Bridge",
because they don't use florescent.
E. loves to go on walks.
Everything is so new, and exciting, and smile inducing.

Here's the "Paris Bridge", because there's a bridge over
the Seine that's exactly the same color. Really.
We're crossing, but we're going to do it happily.
Looking back at the Bridge of Agreeable Lighting.
Pretty little fountain at the end of the Paris Bridge.

J. decides to take a capital detour.
It's a sleepy -headed baby. Now were crossing back over on the Agreeable Light Bridge. Sorry the lights aren't on. You'll just have to trust me.
Looking back at the Paris Bridge and at nice ferry-boaters.
And nice ducks.
And nice a J., who consents to a picture! What a day!
And a nice threesome.
Thank you for joining us! To take this tour in person, please get in the car and drive to 213 Haywood Drive, Iowa City, Iowa.

Tummy Time

Hello world. I have learned to roll over. Now I enjoy my tummy-tum all day and all night long, especially when I wake up my parents at 4:40 a.m. They get me unstuck when I can't get back to a normal sleeping position. It is fun to write on a blog. I've never done it before. Anyway, it's good to write to all of you. Have a good day.

Spotted: Baby in a Cute Hat

Well, J. and C. were having a good times at Wal-Mart the other night, and just couldn't ignore the Kodak Moment right in front of them. SO glad we had our camera.
(P.S. Never leave home without your camera. You never know when you'll spot a Kodak Moment, even in Wal-Mart.)

Nite Out

A night out! Together! It was so thrilling and romantic.... and wonderfully cutened by the baby sitting next to us on the booth. We just can't seem to pull ourselves away from him.
Nevertheless, did manage to get some "couple" pictures - a major accomplishment for us since J. professes some sort of belief in the soul-stealing nature of photographs. I think he's just a bit modest about documenting his good looks.

This is how the picture-taking process usually goes for us.

C. Oh! This is so ______ (nice, cute, pretty, fun etc- )! Let's take a picture.
J. Sighs. Maybe rolls his eyes.
C. C'mon we've got to capture the moment. It'll only take a second!
J. Sigh of resignation. Thinks "my poor pilfered soul".

Picture taking begins....

Not so happy about this.
Warming up to the idea.
Being a real good sport about the whole thing.
I love you, J!
